Boat Registration

No matter the size of your boat, new or used, Incserv can assist with registering it with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC). Incserv will assist in the process of reviewing the application and supporting documents prior to submission with DNREC. Please find below the documents Incserv needs in order to move forward with your request.

Boat registration application:



Complete all sections in application

  1. If the owner is an individual, passport/license number is required
  2. If the owner is a registered Delaware entity, it must be in good standing
  3. The owner name listed in the application must match the supporting documents
    (find out more below)


Provide a copy of the following documents, depending on new or used boat:

    • New boat registrations:

MSO or Builder’s Certificate – showing the owner name listed in the application

    • Used boat registrations:

Notarized Bill of Sale – showing the proper transfer of ownership, with the new owner name listed in the application.

  1. If the boat was previously registered internally, provide a copy of the registration
  2. A copy of your passport or State ID/Driver’s License is also required as a supporting document
